We are all broken in some way or another, and too often we forget this. We are surrounded by people who test us, challenge us, and sharpen us - whether intentionally or not. Every one in our close circle is a mirror that shows us our current reality, and so many times we hide from what the mirror is revealing. We point the finger at the mirror for showing us something so ugly and offensive as a way of dodging the truth. This becomes a habit that can put us in a dangerous cycle of avoidance and lack of accountability. We can project inner issues onto other people by holding their actions (that exposed our issues) against them. We HAVE TO start facing the truths reflected by the mirrors in our lives if we want to truly transform and heal. It requires courage, humility, faith, and discipline. It's scary......and it isn't easy......but it's so worthwhile, and we CAN do it.
